Ideas

I haven't posted anything lately. I'm just not into it right now. Busy with revising my novel and too many family issues to think about it. I do look at the blogs I follow and try to think of something relevant to say. I guess right now I'm in a blog-funk. I have a few rough drafts of posts, but can't decide about posting them yet. I want to do a review of someone's blog, but I just haven't had the time to read all or most of her posts, yet. That is something I like doing (I've only done it once, thus far: "The Wit and Wisdom of Tanya Reimer."), but I want to do it right, so I'll wait until I have more time.

I'm really enjoying some of the blogs I follow. I mean, you girls are something else. Some of the ones I love are http://lettersfromvalentinahepburn.blogspot.com/ , http://nancysthompson.blogspot.com/, http://philosophyofklo.blogspot.com/, and http://talliroland.blogspot.com/, just to name a few. Don't feel bad if I left you off the list; I enjoy you all.

Oh well, maybe I'll think of something neat to write about someday.

Thank you, Richard. I'm missing your blogs, but you always comment on mine and I appreciate it. Sorry you're not feeling 'bloggy' at the moment. I think we all go through it at some time or other. Life happens. Best wishes to you from Valentina, Suzy, Ronnie and Scarlet.

I had wondered why no posts, but I have periods like that, too. Especially when I'm in the middle of a revision. I'll look forward to your posts when you get back. Meanwhile, thanks for the links. I'll check them out.

If a blogging hiatus means some extra time to work on your WIP, go for it!

By the way, Richard, I loved your 'favourites' or 'favorites' idea. Why not songs, recipes, books, blogs, actor, actress? Or six guests you would invite to dinner, alive or not.
I think it's a good way of getting everyone to join in. If you have time I would definitely take part.

We all get in those blog funks sometime ... they come and go :-)

I actually wrote a post asking for ideas, and I found it to be really helpful (the URL is here, if you're interested ... http://philosophyofklo.blogspot.com/2011/07/odd-request-help-friend-out.html)

I was truly honored to be mentioned in your post ... thank you so much, and I look forward to more stuff from you soon :-)

Also, if you're seriously considering doing a blog review, I would love to have you look through mine ;) (heehee)

Great post!!!! My sentiments exactly. hahahahaha. I'll think of "something neat to write someday." hahahaha. Until then, tata baby! Sometimes we're just better to keep our mouths closed eh? hahahaha! Love it.

I do that. I have 40 posts I wrote I don't want to publish any of them today. No reason. I just don't. Tomorrow I might change my mind, or I might wake up and write a new one and post it instantly, no reason. Bloggers are weirdos eh?

thanks for the chuckle and the cool mention!!! you do rock.

Oh the blog funk.... I've kinda been in it too. Know what works for me? Guest posts! I look for others to fill in when I'm running dry creatively. :)
Good luck with your novel... that's most important anyway. Blogs can wait.

I appreciate everyone's comments. I hope to get rolling again before long.

Sometimes I think we think we have to have something profound to say, when actually it's our inner workings (like this post) that are the most interesting to read.

I get in a funk with blogging as well. It's hard to switch gears sometimes. You'll be back before you know it!

Everyone gets in a blog funk once in a while. Nothing wrong with that.
