Blogger

Is it me or is Blogger acting up again? The past few days, the links don't seem to be working properly. I click on the name of the post and I'm taken to the page, but  it doesn't populate. I click on comments, and it goes to the page, but it doesn't poplulate. I waste a lot of time with this problem, and I end up not reading the post or making comments. Anyone else having this problem?

I've heard this complaint from several of my Blogger friends this past week. Catherine Winn said she's about ready to follow me to WordPress she has had so much trouble lately. What IS happening? Apparently the Blogger CEOs or whatever they're called are doing something that is causing problems for us. This sort of thing DOES waste our time and is so frustrating. I just don't want to lose touch with my good Blogger friends, so I hope "they" get it straightened out soon.

Blogger ate one of my posts last weekend. I thought it was just me, although it's small comfort to know they're having systemic problems again.

I've had less problems since I changed to Firefox as browser and installed new security software, but maybe that's just a fluke. Still, I find I like Blogger overall and I'm hoping not to have to migrate to Wordpress.

Sorry to hear you're having problems. If I get that, I shut 'er down and do something else. I don't have time to mess with blogger when it acts up.

The only problem I've had is being unable to look at other people's blogs that I've followed. The links have been fine for me though. At least Blogger isn't like Twitter which goes down every few minutes for me.

I haven't had that problem on my blog -- yet. (I have had problems at other times.) I hope it all gets worked out, because I like reading your posts and I like your comments. Blogger does have problems from time to time, but I don't want to switch to Wordpress. And I think even Wordpress has trouble now and then.

I didn't have this problem, but I'm not blogging as much as I used to. I hope Google works the kinks out soon!

I don't have this particular problem, but some say they are having trouble leaving comments, and when I post links to my posts it goes straight to the comments section and not the post header. Strange business, what?

Found you on Deb Shucka's "Catbird Scout" blog and was intrigued, so followed her here.

I have this problem frequently, especially not being able to post comments on blogs I visit.

Re @David P. King's issue of posting links to posts and the links going to the comments instead, check the URL. Delete anything after the "...blogspot.com/" and try it again.

I haven't had problems lately - *rubbing hands frantically on all wooden surfaces*, but I have had Blogger lose a post I did in the past. There were tears.

Hope you got things back in order. Blogger overall has been doing okay of late, but I know how it can come and go in performance sometimes. They're messing with us.

I lost the images of The Important Ones (followers). When they returned, there you were and new face. Thanks!

I haven't but I do use firefox. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Not exactly that problem, but I've been experiencing a whole host of small niggles that are making my blogging experience a little more complicated.

A little fed up with Blogger at the moment. So slow and I've lost Blogette images from time to time too. I don't want to go to Wordpress because overall I like the system. They just need to get it together a bit more over at Blogger central.

Hi Richard .. I can't comment on embedded comment boxes at all - I use Chrome, and used to be able to get round the issue by moving to IE - now it freezes and I can't read the post let alone comment. Thankfully you have a pop up box - yet other bloggers say that some of their commenters can't use those.

I try and let people know - but it's very time consuming .. and frustrating ...

I haven't had my P Letters blog messed around with by Blogger - but that would drive me nutty!

I know some who keep loosing their blog - then it returns .. just glad I don't have to deal with that - which is why I've decided to leave mine as is (old fashioned looking).

I can't comment on the in-line comment boxes either ..

Come A - Z it will be frustrating to put it mildly.

I changed to the new googlemail - then IT (gmail) arbitrarily changed me back again ..

Also I opened a new email linked to a new blog (private - well nothing I want to publicise or be out to distract blogging friends) - but for some extraordinary reason .. some of my P Lets and my Hilary Melton-Butcher gmail get directed there - yet I've never told anyone!

It so irritates me .. I'm off now for another coffee!!

Many thanks for your lovely comment - that's very kind ....Cheers Hilary
