Writing More Short Stories

Now that my collection of short stories has been out there a week or so, I've gotten back to writing. I'm still trying to write one short story a week. This week, I'm nearing completion of a new story. Looks like it'll be about 2-3,000 words. I have until tomorrow to finish it for this week, a Monday-Saturday week. I have several other stories in mind and new ideas appearing all the time. So, I'm happy.

I'll say that I'm extremely happy with the sells of The Gunman in Black. Granted, most people would die laughing if they knew how many sells I've had, but I'm ecstatic that I've sold a few copies. I'm amazed, really. The future looks bright to me.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. It's going to be a great year.

Congratulations on "Gunman"!
I truly admire your energy and determination when it comes to writing. I seem to have lost mine somewhere along the way.....

Jon, you seem to be doing a lot of writing on your blog. There's probably a nice memoir amongst all those posts. Probably wouldn't take much to weave them into some stories.

Yay! Congrats. And you're not alone, I have friends thrilled at 2 sales! Falling over from joy at 7!!! One told me, that the longer it's out there the more sales pick up, so that's good news. Whoo hoo!

Ha, ha,Tanya, how did you know how many sales I've had? You're absolutely right: 7 sales is like heaven.

Congrats! It must be amazing to know people are reading your work :)

Your goal of writing one short story a week sounds great- I've always found short stories difficult to write and am amazed at people who can do that.
