Cobblestone Parkway, the main road into my development |
This is along the first route I followed when I first started walking a few months ago.
This in a neighbor's yard not far from my house.
This is McCormick Road, another route I follow. This is the longest stretch, almost three miles round trip.
There are several things to see along this road.
This is a view that I enjoy, an expanse of trees beyond a lake, and the skies above,
and a section of fence.
There are also reminders of our modern world of communications.
And, finally, there are reminders that our roads are dangerous--roadside memorials.
Walking has become an added pleasure to my life. Hopefully, I can continue to do so for many years to come.
Lovely pictures. I appreciate long walks now that I'm a bit older. As a kid, not so much. What I find interesting is taking a familiar route and instead of walking it in the usually direction, walk it in reverse. The POV totally changes and I see things that I had previously missed.
ReplyDeleteElise, I'll have to do that, go the opposite way. I'm sure it will be different looking.
ReplyDeleteWe always take the same way too, and it's always an adventure. Thanks for taking us on your walk with you!
ReplyDeletethat sky was awesome
ReplyDeleteI walk a lot too. It's so important. I love the photos you took along the way!
ReplyDeleteIts nice to be able to walk along, and take time to see what's there. These are lovely scenes of your interesting walks.
ReplyDeleteHi Richard. Great to take a daily walk, even better when it is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteSome gorgeous views you have. The cell tower sure has a lot of collocators on it. At least being able to do that limits the number of towers that have to be put up.
ReplyDeleteWalking really is one of those underrated things that's actually wonderful to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing pics of your favorite walks. :-)
Wow. You are surrounded by such wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteI walk, too. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love going for walks, too. It's a good way to clear the head! Thanks for sharing your pictures.
