Sophia Evans is a cryptanalyst who is recruited into doing undercover work, work that turns her life upside down.
The Sholes Key by Clarissa Draper is a modern-day mystery that will keep you reading well into the night. Sophia Evans is presented with bizarre cryptograms that test her skills to the utmost. Vaguely familiar to her (she feels she's seen the series of numbers before, but can't remember where), deciphering these cryptograms is the key to stopping a serial killer, who has left them at the crime scene, perhaps daring the police to catch him. Knowing that the killer will strike again, believing that she is perhaps his next target, Sophia must work fast to save someone's life, perhaps her own. Aided by DI Theophilus Blackwell (a well-drawn character), Sophia begins solving the case. Little does she know, the key to doing so is very close at hand.

This sounds cool. What do you think of the book? Is it a light read?
This is on my TBR list. I'm pumped to read it!
I love the premise of Clarissa's book. It sounds intriguing.
I simply must make more time to read mysteries. They always take a back seat to other genres for some reason.
Thanks, Richard! You're awesome. I'm glad you liked the code-based mystery. Did you even try to crack the code or follow the progression through the novel? I'm wondering if anyone will buy the book because they enjoy cracking codes...
By the way, I will take you up on your offer. I'll contact you by email.
@Clarissa I tried to figure the code out in my head, but could not. Some readers may work at it hard, but I doubt they'll figure it out on their own.
@Kamille It's a lite read unless you want to try to figure out the code, then it will be more demanding.
A book with codes sounds absolutely fascinating. Congrats to Clarissa!
I can't wait to read this! I love the premise and Clarissa's writing.
Oooh, nice review! I love mysteries, and I love codes and cryptograms. This sounds like a must read for me!
Oh I am so gonna try to figure out the code! Sounds awesome.
